Tried to put the stuffing back into a chair.
Daydreamed.
Doodled.
Daydreamed.
Watched a lady walk around in the art gallery.
Daydreamed.
Wondered who left their keys on the table.
Wished it would rain.
Remembered some other homework due Monday.
Regretted not studying earlier.
Regretted not bringing my music so I could sing along with the University Singers.

Said hello to a friend.
Daydreamed.
Deliberately stared out the window.
Made this list.
Sorry Feets
cardigan: thrifted, blouse: Rue21, skirt: Target, tights: Target, booties: Target, glasses: Rue21
This week has been so weird. Not having class Tuesday along with the thunderstorms we’ve been having has skewed my schedule up! It’s been numbing, if that makes sense. It’s felt like each day has run into the next. The rain has been super relaxing and so has my easy schedule. 🙂
I picked these shoes out to wear today not thinking about having to stand for an hour and fifteen minutes for choir practice today. Yikes. My feet were just a tad numb and sore walking to my car for lunch… Sorry feets.
This outfit got quite the review from my classmates. People said I was the only one they knew that could pull stuff like this off and that if the colors were any brighter it wouldn’t work but it does because they’re pastels and that I was a walking fashion commercial. It’s weird because this is like a normal outfit to me. I guess it’s because my head is in the fashion blogging world and I don’t care how crazy an outfit is as long as I feel comfortable in it and love it.
So, thanks guys. 🙂
Just a Regular Ol’ Tuesday
I know I said in yesterday’s post that Jason and I weren’t doing anything for Valentine’s Day, so imagine my surprise waking up to this little spread on the dining room table. Another pack of gummy Lifesavers, a giant bar of chocolate with almonds, and Spongebob. Just because. 🙂 I made him chicken quesadillas for lunch as my gift to him.
My day got even better when all of my classes were cancelled! So I cleaned the house some and headed out to Goodwill with the good intention of only buying a record to test out our new record player but ended up getting a leather vest, a black silk shirt, a leopard cardigan, and some house knick knacks. And two records. 🙂 On my way back I said what the heck and drove down a county road I’d been wanting to go down. Every time I pass this street I see this gorgeous house! Well, it’s the only house on the entire road. I kept driving only to find acres and acres of gray trees and limbs covering the ground on either side of the rough road. I came to a small bridge where apparently all the vultures hang out. When they saw me they flew up in the trees above and it was such a perfect shot I regretted leaving my camera at home. I did get this one though:
I plan on going back with Jason later so I can actually stop and take pictures. Vultures are actually really pretty birds/creatures!
Some other good news, we finally hung our antlers on the wall! My photo collage is coming together underneath as well. Just have to get color ink so print out art and fill the frames. I eventually want to paint some neat design on the antlers as well.
How was your Valentine’s Day?
I Got Glasses!
shirt: Target, jacket: Old Navy, scarf: F21, jeans: Target, boots: Go Jane,
bracelet: c/o InPink, glasses: Rue21
PSYCHE. I can see fine. But don’t I look adorable?
I made these last night. I had to add my own flare to them, surprisingly. Maybe it was because I didn’t have cottage cheese and am too afraid to ever try it because my cousins always ate it and it grossed me out. So instead I used sour cream. That’s the same, right?
Uh, hello. How good is Jason getting at taking my picture? Reference that second picture. Oh, and he just walked in with gummy Lifesavers because I’ve been really wanting some. He’s the best. 🙂
Oh yeah, and Happy Valentine’s Day! Jason and I both forgot about it and didn’t budget to do anything so we’re waiting until after tomorrow when everything is on sale and getting a buttload of candy. I love married life.
Sister Time!
My sister spent the night on Thursday! A&M Commerce, where she goes to school, cancelled music classes because of TMEA so she got home two days early! I had no class on Friday so we decided to make the best of it. She cooked us an incredible homemade dinner of crispy chicken and a tomato wine sauce. SO. SO. GOOD. I’ll think I’ll have those leftovers for lunch…
Since she’s going to NYC in a few weeks (LUCKY!) and performing at Carnegie Hall with her choir (DOUBLE LUCKY) we went shopping Friday so she could get some NYC necessities. I budgeted myself $50 and only spent $38. It was really funny how proud of me Jason was. haha! He couldn’t stop raving about me actually staying under budget for once. Yay me! Anyway! Here’s what I got for $38!
maroon tee: Target $5.50, mint polka-dot blouse: Rue21 $7, blush specs: Rue 21 $5.99, geode necklace: Rue21 $2, black wedges: Target $15
We hit up Target first and I was surprised at how little their sale section grabbed me. This (super soft!) shirt was the only thing I got, but I’m glad I did. That color goes surprisingly well with my hair.
I wanted to go into Rue21 because #1) I’d never been in there and #2) I wanted some fake glasses and my 12 year old sister got hers there. (It’s her favorite store.) Yeah, I found the glasses but look at that crazy awesome MINT blouse! SEVEN. DOLLARS. Lil’ Rudy might be on to something.. Their jewelry was $.50-$2! I scored that awesome geode look-alike for $2. Craziness.
The rest of my weekend looked like this:
Homemade mocha frappes with Jason while he tries to fix his computer. Yippee!
And Then My Shoes Didn’t Fit…
sequin jacket: Modcloth, top: thrifted, jeans: Target, belt: WalMart, shoes: F21
I had different shoes picked out for this outfit but when I went to put them on this morning they wouldn’t go on. They are by far the weirdest fit I’ve bought from Old Navy. They’re my size but tight, like my feet are swollen are something. The humidity has to be just right and the stars must be aligned for them to get on my feet! I even tried enlisting Jason to tug them on this morning but ending up kicking them off in a rage of frustration and grabbed these instead. Probably for the best.
But seriously. Old Navy’s sizing is so weird! I bought a jacket in a medium that actually fit like a large. Then I got the same jacket in the same size only a different color and it doesn’t fit. Get it together ON!
