I Putt You Putt

For part two of Mother’s Day we took my mom to Outback and then played a rousing game of putt-putt Monday night. Complete with trash talk and crappy playing. The weather was absolutely beautiful and it was a great start to the week. I plan on going to pick up some final projects from the school and spending most of the day taking pictures around campus. I was hoping to get to that earlier in the semester when it was cooler but there was never really a good opportunity. So I’m going to force my sister to come with me and hang out. Bonus! The campus will be desolate so I should get some good shots.

What are your plans for the week? Any putt putt competitions? I can give you some pointers!

Nobody Looks Good In A Graduation Cap

dress: c/o eShakti, heels: Target, earrings: H&M, ring: c/o InPink

Finally! I’m blogging about this dress! eShakti sent this to me last fall and I never had a fancy enough occasion to wear it to. Looks like graduation was the ticket. πŸ˜‰ The sizing of this dress is perfect. There’s a hidden zipper in the side and an elastic waistline. I will say that the sheer sleeves are too big for my liking. I’d much prefer it if they were more skin tight. I’m sure I can persuade my mom to fix that. πŸ˜› Oh! Did I mention there are pockets?! Perfect for hiding my lipgloss and phone in while I waltzed across the stage last Friday night. πŸ™‚

Wanna see a picture of me in my grad garb? Okay, fine. Here I am in all of my robed glory.

This jumping picture is a tradition when I graduate. This is the third in my series of jumping pictures. πŸ™‚ I was supporting End It Movement on my cap. I hope I spread at least some interest and curiosity!

Upside down. Nice. πŸ˜‰

Funny story about that robe. My friend Megan and I were backstage and I wondered why hers, which was the same size as mine, was so much smaller. We looked at the tags and I bought a plus size robe. That would explain why my hands and arms disappeared. πŸ˜› We had a good laugh the entire ceremony, but I still rocked it, right? Right.

I’ve begun applying for bid kid jobs and it’s kind of scary! I’ve applied for three so far, all secretary related. I’m thinking I’ll get a semi-easy job and save up some money while figuring out where God wants me for the musical part of my life. It’s scary and exciting at the same time! Wish me “luck”! πŸ˜›

Happy Tuesday!

*Thanks to eShakti for sending me this dress and allowing me to graduate in style. πŸ™‚

My sister affectionately refers to these pants as my grandma pants. Affectionately is the key word in that sentence I think. πŸ˜›

I graduated last Friday. πŸ™‚ A lot of emotions were happening that day. Gratitude, sadness, goodbyes, happiness that I get to go back in the fall, annoyed that I get to go back in the fall, :P. I got to sit next to one of my best friends while we graduated. We started out at the same junior college and graduated there together and finished out together. πŸ™‚ It was a blast! It made me want to go back for my masters. Maybe. πŸ™‚

My grad party was Saturday night and we played games and had Mexican food and margaritas and laughed and laughed. I’m going to miss my group of friends but I have a feeling it won’t be long before I see them again.

Seriously, thank you to everyone who had a hand in getting me to this point. I don’t think I ever thought I’d have a bachelor’s degree. I’m proud of myself and want to push myself even harder towards my career goals. Thank you!

Happy Monday! It’s summer for me! Better find a job. πŸ˜›

shirt: Old Navy, jeans: Target, sandals: Buffalo Exchange, necklaces: F21 and H&M

I love these $6 oversized shirts from Old Navy. Have I said that before?

Y’all. My last choir concert is tomorrow night and I am so nervous and sad! I finished out my last week of school (well, kinda) and am not sure how I feel about it. I’m going to go around campus next week and take a lot of pictures. πŸ™‚ Anyone wanna join?

Pray that I don’t bawl my way through this concert tomorrow so I can go out with a bang. πŸ˜‰

Happy Friday! I’m off today so I’m in Canton with my friend Kait. Woo! What are you doing?

It was hot when I wore this. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I mean, it was bearable hot, but still hot. But my parents seem to think there’s another cold front moving in. We’ll see. πŸ™‚

Unfortunately, I found out yesterday that I’m not done with my schooling! There was a mishap with my transcript and classes I did/didn’t take at my junior college and long story short I have to stay and take another math and science credit before I can get my diploma. Blerg! Looks like I sort of get my wish to not graduate just yet. πŸ˜‰ However, my friend Candice gave me the most encouraging word when I was stressing today. She looked me square in the eye and told me this is happening for a reason and that I’m done in this season. She told me God is still teaching me and preparing me for the next season and right now I need to just sit in it and let Him do it. It’s what I needed to hear in that moment and I’m glad she let God speak that through her. πŸ™‚ Love you, Candice!

In more serious business, Kasie Clary is the sister of my former DNow leader, Kendall Clary Ventura. Kasie has been missing for a few days and hasn’t been heard from. Her car has been found but the police are still searching. If you have heard from her or have any information please call the Hillsboro, TX police department. (254) 582-8406. In addition, pray for the Clary family that God would give them peace and rest in this and that Kasie would be found.

Happy Thursday!

Shout out to my 14 year old sister, Ru, for taking these. πŸ™‚

These are the cheapest shoes I own. They don’t even deserve to be called shoes, really. They were $7.50 from Forever21, and while I like them alright it’s like walking on a piece of cardstock with some pleather attached. Can I get an amen? So why in the world do I keep shopping for their shoes?! It’s a sickness. A well shot photograph of a cheap, shiny shoe and I’m hooked. STOP IT, FOREVER21. Thank the Lord there isn’t a store near me.

Things I’m looking forward to the rest of the week:
-Finishing my piano barrier! Whew.
-Going out with a bang in my last week of school. (Not really looking forward to that, though)
-My counseling appointment tomorrow! (Oh yeah, I go to counseling. πŸ™‚
-My very last college choir concert. I’m going to bawl my eyes out, y’all. Forrealz.

Today is my last Wednesday of full classes. I’m sad but for some reason I just keep thinking that classes will still go on throughout the summer and I’ll never have to leave. πŸ™‚

My dog farted while I was writing this. So…

Happy Hump Day!
