Bright and Sunny

eShakti contacted me right after their spring line launched and asked me to choose a dress and this little beauty was in the mailbox a few weeks later. ๐Ÿ™‚ There are POCKETS! Ruffled neck line! A bow in the back! Knee length! This is my second dress given to me by eShakti (still haven’t blogged about the first! Sorry…) and they are both so incredibly well made and so easily customizable. With this dress I changed the length a little bit, but you can change the neck line, sleeve length, hem length, or take away pockets (but why would you?!). The color is so bright and it doesn’t wrinkle very easily. There’s a hidden zipper in the side instead of the back, which I really like. It fits like a dream. They carry sizes 0-30 or you can enter in your custom measurements. I’m terrible at measuring myself so I stick to the regular sizing. This is really a perfect fit for me in my size!

Thanks, eShakti! Check them out!

I wore this to an Anberlin concert back in February with my sister, Shel. It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! It was a very spontaneous thing. I saw the tickets on my ticket app, texted Shel, and it was done. The tickets were only $25! We drove down early and at at the Twisted Root, continuing our tours of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives restaurants. (Parts one and two!) You REALLY have to go if you’re anywhere in Downtown Dallas. It. Is. So. Good. (Tell me what person you get when you order! I was Fergie.) The lighting and location was so great we snapped these pictures right in the parking lot.

Happy Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

My sister Shelby didn’t get to come in last weekend because of school stuff so we met her halfway in Sulphur Springs and experienced some really, really public bathrooms. Sulphur Springs decided it would be a good idea to install two mirrored bathrooms in the middle of downtown. You can see out, but not in. So naturally our family took full advantage of these.

Dad successfully used it. All I did was Vine it. ๐Ÿ™‚ (Are you on Vine?) (Why aren’t you on Vine?!) (@melodyrich)

Have a great day, guys! Happy Friday!

PS. Let’s all marvel at my vast bank of poses.

Finished.

Well, I’m out of school! Last Wednesday was my only day of exams and I gotta say, it was a lot easier than I anticipated. However, I didn’t feel really done until after Saturday. I was asked to sing the National Anthem and Alma Mater at all four graduation ceremonies which required nearly two full days of sitting and waiting! But that paycheck is sure worth it! ๐Ÿ™‚

For my first week out of class I’ve got plans to catch up on house stuff and finally get some Christmas shopping done with my sister. Also giving poor Pepper some attention is on the list. Poor dog. All the while listening to some new music I’ve discovered hiding in my iTunes. Albums like Eric Whitacre’s Light and Gold, Motion City Soundtrack, Anberlin’s Dark is the Way Light is a Place, all the Twilight soundtracks, and some other little songs I’ve found. Should be a good week!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! ๐Ÿ™‚

My only two finals this week are on Wednesday with a five hour break between them. Then I’m free until January. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been feeling pretty nostalgic with ending my last ever fall semester. I’ll never be in school during the fall again or drive onto campus and see all the trees and the cars and the fountain and the big auditorium in the fall. I think I’m having a crisis. After May I’ll be out of school permanently for the first time in my life. It’s a little daunting! Guess we’ll just see what happens. You know, if the world doesn’t end.

Reruns are fun

Sorry for the slight blurriness. It was getting dark super fast! I wore this the day we started learning choreography in choir. Yes. Choreography. Me. Dancing. YIKES. At least it was fun ๐Ÿ™‚

How’s your week? Finals are almost here!
