Months ago I saw on the Caldwell Zoo’s Facebook page that four baby lions were born! I watched all the videos, aww’d at all the pictures, and vowed to go as soon as I could. Once the cubs were old enough they started letting them play out of their dens so us humans could watch and stare at them like freaks. Shel and I were happy to do it. It was a gorgeous day! We had lunch/dinner at Smashburger and ended the day at the ETX Meet! Check out that post for more coolness.

The zoo is always a fun time. Always. Crappy snowcones, cute kids on fieldtrips, and animals. Couldn’t ask for a better afternoon. 🙂

Oh, Say

Well, how was your Fourth? I spent mine floating in a pool at night with friends after having a classic American meal: grilled dawgs. Only after having half of one of the best burgers I’ve ever had with my family, grilled a la my dad. Then my mom made cronuts Saturday night to top it all off!

After work Friday I needed to capture my patriotic outfit and snap some VERY adorable pictures of Pepper to forever capture her cuteness as if I’d ever forget.

I think July Fourth gets looked over as one of my favorite holidays because it always sneaks up on me. And not in like Christmas-sneaks-up-on-me kind of way, but in a July Fourth is in the middle of the year kind of way. I love the flags and fireworks and patriotism. And the pictures. I’ve got a super cool shoot idea in mind… now to just wait until my sister is free…

Rudy is becoming quite the fashionista. But I like to think it’s because most of her clothes used to be my clothes and my clothes are fashionable by nature ergo she’s a fashionista.

#SisterThriftDay

Since school let out and Shel hasn’t been subbing anymore, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to thrift our lives away. We spent a Friday thrifting all around town and having lots of sisterly bonding time. If you haven’t caught on, I make a hashtag for each sister day. They’re stupid and real simple but hey. That’s a hashtag.

I am only realizing now that most of these pictures are of food.

 

I am okay with that.

By the way, ICEEs and popcorn at Target is the best snack ever. That should be a date. You and your boyfriend go to Target and get ICEEs and popcorn, walk around and talk and tell me that won’t be the best two hours you spend together.

Sisters

I Might Move to Waco

Remember when a couple of weeks ago my sister found a stupid awesome apartment in Waco so we went down to sign her lease and we did a bunch of shenanigans? (Is did the right word there?) Well the last shenanigan we did (is it?) was walk through the gorgeous garden a few steps away from her front door. It’s part of the Armstrong Library on campus and I can’t believe she has such a photogenic place so close to her house. Almost makes me want to move to Waco…

Oh, and of course we took outfit photos in said garden. But only after hittin’ up Common Grounds. Also a few steps from her front door. (Yeah, I think I’ll move to Waco now.)
