I love these pants. I was standing in the checkout line in a Goodwill in Florida and saw these just hanging there begging to be bought. When I saw the JCrew tag I nearly fell out. Hooray!

Seriously. When is this heat going to subside? My birthday is in 30 days and I’d really like it to be cool enough to walk around outside without evaporating on my 21st!

Speaking of my birthday, it’s September! Though it doesn’t feel like it, stores are already debuting their fall collections. If you look outside it looks like fall. But that’s only because there hasn’t been any rain in a month and everything is dead. Yay…

This is my first time trying the tie-a-knot-in-something-over-something-else trend. I think I executed it well.

Was it CRAZY hot today or what? 106 is a little out of my comfort zone. And by a little out of my comfort zone I mean a lot. But since I only had one 50 minute class today I figured I’d at least get dressed.

I had an awesome weekend!
Friday night was spent with my bff, Randa, at her fancy lingerie (did I say that?) party. SO much fun. Haven’t seen her since graduation several weeks ago! Enchiladas, cupcakes, and tons of laughs. I had such a good time. It’s just what I needed from being cooped up in this house! She’s getting married this Friday and I CAN’T wait! 🙂

Saturday Jason and I had to take Little Bit, aka the rescue kitten, to the vet. We’d noticed some bald spots appearing in random places on her skin and finally made an appointment to see the vet. As soon as he saw them he said, “Yep. She’s got ring-worms, and you can get them, too.” Ugh. So now I’m paranoid every time I itch. But, he did give us drops for her and shampoo to get rid of them. She also had hookworms! My poor baby. He gave her medicine for them and said we’d need to come back in three weeks to make sure they were going away. Now, she’s quietly sleeping in the sun. I love that girl.

After we took her to the vet we decided to explore our town a bit. We drove through downtown, though most shops were closed, and through the surrounding neighborhoods. They. Are. Gorgeous. For funsies later I looked up houses for sale. 🙂

Saturday night I went with my sisters to see Kung Fu Panda 2. A+ for that movie! So adorable. I ended up spending the night and eating my weight in homemade chocolate turtles.

I hope you’re having an awesome memorial day! We’ll be spending it painting the house and finishing up drywall so we can finally have a party out here!

Today’s Wednesday and I wish it was Friday already. Spring break is next week and me, the hubs, and my family are going glamping* all week! Sigh.. outdoors, relaxation, and family for a week. I can’t wait!

My First Outfit Post: Cranberry Legs

Today was the first time in about a week I actually planned out an outfit. I liked it, despite that fact that the skirt I wore has an awkward seam a couple of inches down from the waist and my shirt kept bunching up making me look thicker than I actually am! Perfect self-esteem booster. 😉

Yes. This was taken in the bathroom. Don’t judge. Our house isn’t finished.

My faaaave cranberry tights. I just rediscovered them in my drawer. They’re SO soft!
